About Us

Melting Pot Project is based upon a dream, my dream, a dream of peace and unity amongst all nations, all faiths, all cultures. Furthermore, I was inspired by the 1969 song ‘Melting Pot’ by Blue Mink, which although quite controversial at the time of its release, the intention I believe was to promote racial unity and peace on Earth. 

As a highly qualified and experienced Tutor and Assessor of English and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), I recognised a few gaps in the market that needed filling so I began developing  ‘Melting Pot Project’!

Melting Pot Project Community Interest Company Ltd offers a variety of tailor made services to help support our local community academically, socially and emotionally. We are Crawley based but also aim to deliver our services to anyone living in areas surrounding Crawley, particularly Horsham. 

We offer expert tuition and classes to any age group on a one to one or small group basis and specialise in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), ESOL Tutor Training Workshops, English Language and Literacy Skills, Skills for Life and Work, English Functional Skills, Prepare for Driving Theory Test Workshops, Booster/Catch Up Classes for school children or adult learners needing some extra support, SEN Awareness and Support Workshops, Beating Anxiety Workshops, Ladies (age 16+) Only Boxing/Self-Defence Sessions & Jeet Kune Do Martial Arts classes for gentlemen and young men.

Mental Health is important to us, as is Suicide Prevention work, so we embed safeguarding, care and support in all that we do and we educate others about how to recognise, understand, support and signpost somebody whom they feel may be at risk in some way. 

Our core aims are to encourage social cohesion, improve social mobility and to empower through nurture. We also plan to offer Community Support and Events, Wellbeing Sessions and referrals, to offer work experience to students, school leavers and job-seekers through volunteering opportunities as well as 'Chit Chat Sessions' to address any support needs and to enable individuals to share and celebrate experiences and successes.
